What is it?

Shoulder replacement resurfaces the damaged ball and socket of the shoulder with a long-lasting implant — performed as anatomic (total) or reverse depending on rotator cuff status.

Anatomic total shoulder replacement is ideal for arthritis with an intact rotator cuff. Reverse shoulder replacement is used when the rotator cuff is torn or irreparable, switching the ball and socket to let the deltoid power the arm. Robotic planning ensures perfect glenoid (socket) angle and humeral (ball) alignment — the most critical factor for long implant life.
